Scream! Scream 5 enters theatres on January 14th.

All eyes are on this new scream movie coming on January 14th, 2022. Is this the movie to recapture the love and genre-changing feeling that the original or will this movie simply be another addition to the franchise? I am hoping for the former as we slowly move towards the release date. I wanted to talk about who I think the most likely person is to be the killer this time around and who is safe from that spot. First, you need to know the characters of this new scream movie. I think everyone can agree that Sidney Prescott is safe from being the new Ghostface killer. This one is a no-brainer just from the last 4 movies it’s almost a certainty that she will not be the killer. The same almost goes for Gale but there is a much higher, yet still incredibly slim, chance that Gale will be the killer in this film. It would only make sense depending on how her relationship with Dewey is which leads me on to my next point. Dewey could potentially be the killer in this movie for a few reasons. There has never been a character that has shifted from one movie to the next that has been the killer. It's possible that Dewey decided to start killing again as Ghostface so Sydney and Gale would show up and they could be together again. This rule also sort of applies to deputy Judy hicks who also was in scream four. The reason I’m saying this is because every other movie has had one of the newly introduced characters as the killer. With this being said though I will give my guesses as to the next killers out of the introduced characters in this movie. My guesses are wes hicks simply because of their namesake which would be kind of an interesting movie. The next killer potentially is Richie kirsh. Here's the thing about this movie, Everyone is a potential suspect this time and I know they have always said that but this time there is seriously not a great candidate for a suspected killer in this film. As we move on to this next scream film. We can not only hope that this movie is as amazing as the first film but that this film will bring yet another “Scream” inspired horror renaissance.
